DESERT VIBES

I may have mentioned it before but I'm truly a graphic tee kind of girl.

Whether it's filming, editing videos, or designing you can usually catch me rocking some type of comfy tee. I like ones that are a little different and badass. That's my thing. Anyway, I wore this heathered graphic tee by Skyline Fever when I was traveling out in Arizona over the weekend. It fit in with my desert vibes perfectly.

Also, I just found out that Skyline Fever is donating $5 per shirt that is sold this week straight to a family in Napal that is in need due to the devastating earthquake. Check out their site here.

BRINGING SPRING DOWN UNDER

I'm Stateside once again.

If you've been following my adventures on instagram over the last week you probably know I've been Down Under. On a sentimental note, I've been incredibly grateful for what 2015 has brought on so far. Australia has been #1 on my travel list for as long as I can remember and I was living in a dream turned reality for over a week.

I started out in Melbourne and made my way to Sydney. Knowing that I would be asked which of the two I liked best, I tried to think about my answer. I really didn't have a favorite. They are both their own city and I enjoyed exploring them both equally. Melbourne for instance had this great River Walk in the downtown area. There were tons of super cute cafes and restaurants with the best outdoor patio seating (I'm a sucker for cute patios) lined up along the River. The architecture was almost futuristic in some ways - just very advanced.

Anyway, in case you forgot, it's going into Fall right now in Australia. But I couldn't help but bust out this cute little Spring number made by Lira. And it was the most perfect and beautiful day for it.

NORDSTROM RACK DINNER

Earlier this week I was pampered by the babes of Nordstrom rack.

A few bloggers and influencers gathered at Savannah Chop House in Laguna Niguel for an intimate evening of sharing stories, wine and tasty food. It was the perfect setting to chat amongst each other while overlooking the gorgeous sunset of Laguna Hills. It was the pre-celebration to the newest location of Nordstrom Rack and I was really honored to be apart of this quaint event. Today the Laguna Niguel location opened up - I wish I had been able to go to the pre-grand opening (I was filming in Los Angeles) but I heard it's really great and full of designer goodies.

THE MODERN FT. RVCA

The Modern Honolulu is by far one of my favorite resorts. This place was a dream and while I was out in Hawaii last month I shot this short film in the suite featuring RVCA. This 2 piece knit set was the coziest little number to lounge around in.

LA FASHION COUNCIL SS15 COLLECTIONS

Back in October I filmed the runway shows for LA Fashion Council.

Local Los Angeles based designers showed their Spring/Summer 2015 collections a few months ago. Here's a little taste of the action with behind-the-scenes shots, along with the glamorous runway shows.

A lot goes into not only putting together a collection but also organizing a runway show. So much time, effort and energy put into what becomes a mere 8 minute long presentation. As a designer myself, I know this type of feeling - it's excitement, anxiousness and a sense of accomplishment all rolled up into one. Being on the other side and filming such a day filled with anticipation is pretty awesome. I like using what I know and understand from the designer perspective and applying it to a video that relays that.

#ABIKINIKINDOFLIFE

I got a sneaky peek of what Billabong has in store for Summer.

Gorgeous prints and colors on all types of amazing bikini's and apparel were displayed beautifully at the Mondrian on Sunset. As I scoured the goods I already had vacation on my mind and both combined put me into full Summer mode. I've been really into the idea of rocking a crochet bikini this season and Billabong has the perfect black and white one that I'm eyeing. I can't wait for the warmer days to be consistent and the longer sunlight hours to continue.

KNOCKAROUND AT POW! WOW! HAWAII

In case you were wondering what I was filming out in Hawaii a couple weeks ago, here it is.

A lot of projects went down while I was out there, but the main focus of the trip was to film the happenings of Pow! Wow! Hawaii. Knockaround sunglasses is a sponsor for the week long event and so we put together this recap vid for them. It was great working with the guys at Knockaround on this.

Being that this was my second time back at Pow! Wow! I was even more excited knowing what I was in for. The culture of the whole thing is really amazing and pretty much unlike anything else. There's a real sense of camaraderie, not to mention a ton of incredibly talented/creative people.

To witness all of the artists in action is an awesome experience but if I had to pick a couple favorites it'd be Kevin Lyons and James Jean.

LIFE IN IPHONE PHOTOS - FEBRUARY EDITION

Oh, hey it's March. To me it means that Spring is right around the corner.

Anyway, as promised, here are the snapshots from my iphone capturing the last month. I feel like the majority of my February was spent in Hawaii - I'm still missing it.

Home Sweet Home at The Modern Honolulu

Shot the latest 16th Colony collection in Hawaii. Excited doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about it.
